Síntese do concurso

We are a start up microbrewery and are looking for a logo design. The name of our brewery is Caledon Hills Brewing Company. Caledon is located in Ontario Canada just north of Toronto. Caledon is well known for it's spectacular nature, it's rolling hills, recreational parks and wildlife. The people from the big city of Toronto travel here for great outdoor leisure time and to get away from the crowded city life.

We want our logo to have a cool modern look to it, while also portraying quality. After doing some research we came up with the idea of implementing a pileated woodpecker in our logo. This bird is often sighted in our area. We envision our logo to somehow reflects ome of these elements: a pileated woodpecker, hills, nature or trees. It should reflect us being proud to brew here in Caledon and help us gain local support of our brand.

The logo should also reflect a high end quality statement but appeal to the "everyman". It should look fairly clean and simple to be easily spotted and recognized by beer drinkers in bars, pubs and restaurants.
We welcome any direction to reflect all of the above even a slightly funny approach such as the woodpecker having an active role in the logo by perhaps pecking away at one of the letters. Maybe the letters look like tree trunks? Attached is an image of this kind of direction. However, please see if you can come up with your own cool and novel idea or combine our idea with yours.
