Design a fireplace accent wall

I am attaching a photo of our living room wall with a fireplace. I would like to totally reimagine and redesign this wall, and give the fireplace a facelift. It’s the first thing people see when they walk in the front door, so I want it to be a grand, eye-catching focal point. Importantly, I want the whole wall to be involved in the design, not just the fireplace. The only feature that is staying the same for sure is the floor (a shiny marble-look porcelain tile). Everything else can be changed if needed to fit the design - for instance the two pieces of crown molding that frame the TV can be removed, the baseboards on that wall can be removed, etc. The wall does need to accommodate the TV somehow; however it can be mounted to the wall instead of sitting on the mantle.

A few comments that may help to provide direction:
1) I really dislike the brick. I don’t want any brick in the new design.
2) The old-school hearth – I am fine with removing the hearth altogether, or if it stays, it needs to be modernized.
3) The mantle – I like the mantle, but we don’t necessarily have to keep it as is… one idea I thought of was to have multiple mantles, and not necessarily centered over the fireplace.

Our style:
If I had to characterize the style of our house, I would have to say “Mediterranean chic”. Definitely a Mediterranean inspiration, but with a glamourous, modern, elegant touch. I have no definitive preference as to straight, clean lines versus ornate features – I like both styles, and would love to see some of each represented in this contest, so I can pick the one that really speaks to me and feels right for the space. No matter what the style, I do want it to feel grand and impressive – something you would find in a high-end home.

In addition to the photo of our current fireplace wall, I am also attaching several photos of styles that inspire me, to provide a feel of what I like. Some are fireplaces, some are other rooms (bathrooms, etc.) – they are just meant to provide some loose ideas of my aesthetic.

      The contest is still open, and the award has not yet been given. I do have a few 5-star entries at this point... these can be considered the "top contenders" thus far, but additional entries are still welcome.

      Thank you for reaching out! The wall is 409 cm long x 244 cm high. The fireplace opening is 114 cm x 74 cm, and it is 30.5 cm from the floor. I uploaded a new photo to show the more detailed dimensions of the space.

      Thanks for reaching out! It's a square-shaped room, about 13 ft. 5 inches (409 cm) on each side. Ceiling is 8 feet (244 cm).
