I had my Ph. D. in 2008 and am working as Assistant Director in the Wildlife and Parks Department of the Province of Punjab, Pakistan, since last over 25 years. During my service my assignments has been quite diverse like monitoring and surveys of wild animal and bird populations, analysis of the survey data and writing survey reports, writing management plans for the protected areas, managing zoo and wildlife parks and law enforcement and protection of the wildlife through apprehending illegal hunters and poachers. I also had an experience to work with foreign consultants in a GEF funded project 'Punjab Wildlife Surveys and Management Planning'. I also worked with IUCN as a Consultant to develop a Development Planning and Management Framework for their Mountain Areas Conservancy Project in Pakistan.
