Export Data from Zillow for Excel
A. Basic Requirement
1. Tasks:
a. Use an Excel file containing property addresses, “Address Source”, to look-up the property record on Zillow.com.
b. Copy (or scrape, or retrieve, etc.) the data.
c. Copy (or paste, etc.) it into the ”Address Results” spreadsheet in the appropriate columns.
2. The method should be a Web Service, VB Macro embedded in the spreadsheet, use of the [login to view URL], etc.
3. The data returned, however, must be entered in an Excel spreadsheet, not XML, etc.
4. Please note that the fields presented by Zillow in response to entering a property address will vary depending on the status of the property, e.g., Listed for Sale, Listing Removed, Bank Owned, etc. Many of the fields only appear under specific conditions and these conditions will not be known when the query is run.
5. The program developed will be used over and over again with different sets of property addresses.
6. The address file will contain from 1 to 1,000 addresses.
7. The Zillow site is complex and the data required appears on multiple screens.
8. This is not a manual data entry or data collections job.
9. Similar experience and a demonstration project will further your chance at being awarded the project.
