I would like to create a website similar to all top. Importantly, I am not looking for a completely new development but to create a smooth design on a wordpress blog. WP RSS aggregator is a nice plugin to use or one news premium. Thus I am looking for a developer / designer to implement this. Please clarify anything with a question mark in your proposal. PLEASE .. answer all my questions with a question mark in your proposal. I would appreciate if you indicate the cost of each functionality so I can reduce (or add as needed) I have limited time so please try to understand before firing questions. Project priorities: 1) System will not break when WordPress or plugin upgrades occur. 2) Any paid for themes, need to be one time payment only, no recurring fees. - A small exception might need to be made for the categories of [login to view URL] - Categories extension, if this will be used. - Design All elements need to look good together. Responsive design White background black text. -Front Page The front page will be it's own page aggregator. I would like to have a rotating widget can be like the one on the economist (or similar) which allows for some images. (Please specify which plugin you will be using) -Top bar Website title Website blurb Search box linked to Google CSE (custom Search engine) (Can this be done?) (I will create the CSE) -Three column + side bar. 2 columns for the post aggregator right hand side column for the categories. --- If you have any ideas on how to display the main and sub categories -Footer Recommend to a friend (plugin) Subscribe to newsletter (social plugin) Send Tweet Like Facebook Linkedin Post? -Categories / The sidebar There are 13 main categories and each one will have 6 or 7 sub-categories. Each Category will be 1 to 2 words long The main categories will not be clickable, they are there for organization purposes Each of the sub categories will be clickable and will be presented with an aggregator page. - Aggregator page will include A title page The two column news aggregation The side bar with the main subcategories Each news aggregation block will have the website title. The Website title will be orange in color, (just like all top) To specify in your proposal. Absence of these answers will make your bid less clear. How will youtube videos appear ? Two Column / three column ? Which plugins will you use for the aggregation? What is the best case scenario timeline to create this project? What is the worst case scenario timeline to create this project? In your opinion what other considerations should I take care of ? I would like to differentiate between type of feeds, video - audio or articles. -textRSS: for normal text feeds - Install First 10 -videoRSS: for Youtube, Vimeo, Metacafe and Dailymotion feeds - Install first 4 Is it possible to have each page of the day archived? Ability to add / remove main or sub categories. Current Server Setup Wordpress standard installation has already been completed, this website sites in a subdirectoy over another. Once the project is awarded I will send you the list of main categories sub categories and RSS feeds in each sub category. The project will include a working functioning website.
