Summary of Job.
The job is to rebuild the website for [login to view URL] - a one product website that sells multivitamins specifically designed for sufferers of schizophrenia. We are one of only a few businesses worldwide that produces such a product.
The company is about 18 months old but has never had large numbers of internet sales due to poor SEO. Our objective now is to turn this around by rebuilding the website in joomla (or another opensource application that you can convince me is more appropriate than joomla) in a way that is capable of better SEO, has more functionality in terms management and provides for straight through processing of orders from our drop shippers.
We are interested in all ideas that will achieve the above objective but the specifics of the job are as follows:
1. Convert existing website and CMS into Joomla.
2. SEO the site for UK, US and Australia.
2. Add a blog to the site.
3. Add a fully functional shopping cart to site that is appropriate for a company selling only a few products and allows payment by credit card or PayPal (please see annex for flow diagram).
4. Add a more standard feature to alow customers to register and retain address and previous order information on the site. Typical ability to change personal details, see previous orders, address options, password checks should all be included.
5. Allow customers to set up automatic ordering so that product is shipped automatically at different intervals
6. Customer ordering and registration information should be retained in a database that can be used and manipulated by the owner.
7. The site should generate appropriate emails automatically to the customer and the owner upon an order being made or a customer being registered.
8. The CMS should allow the owner to easily manipulate all of the language in the site, pictures, links etc and add additional pages.
9. The shopping cart should be fully integrated with the owners drop shippers system in the US to provide for straight through processing of orders.
10. Only minor changes are required to the site in terms of pictures, language and layout and these can be communicated separately. Ideas for improving the site are welcome and will all be taken into account in deciding the winning bid.
