I have an english multimedial dictionary on CD made by Garzanti, a great italian publisher.
This dictionary belongs to a series of 4, called Vivavoce collection.
Just like many multimedia encyclopaedias on CD, after installing it on the computer, everytime I need to consult it, I must insert the CD into the CD driver. After this operation I can consult it and if I need to listen to the pronunciation, I have to click
with the mouse on the word of my interest; in that moment a native-language voice utters the word so that I can hear it through a pair of headphones connected to the computer.
The fact is that it only works if I insert the CD into the CD driver; as it's a burden for me to take the cd with me everywhere I go, when I tried to copy the whole content of
the CD on the hd and I tried to install it from the HD to another dir of the hd itself, the lead-voice vanished; there was no way to listen to the pronunciation.
I point out that during the install process only the destination dir is requested not the source.
Could you solve this trouble, that's to activate the voice after transferring the whole content of the CD on the HD ?
