My background as a Taiwanese who had spent 24 years of youth in Hong Kong, where I was educated in an English speaking school, and that I had pursued my study in the United Kingdom for a year, had equipped me with fluency in speaking and writing of Mandarine, Taiwanese, Cantonese and English, while my Mandarine, Taiwanese and Cantonese abilities meet the level of natives.
Furthermore, I had worked previously at a well known Hong Kong media company called Apple Daily for over 2 years. The job required me to read through sources from Reuters, AP, Daily Mail and other media around the globe. I will then produce accurate Chinese articles covering the main points from sources that I had read. My work includes writing news articles, making news videos and conducting voiceover for news videos in Cantonese and Mandarine. The fast-paced job as a journalist had also trained me with the habit to always meet deadlines and to work under intense pressure.
Additionally, out of my personal interest, during free time I had worked as a part-time tutorial teacher to assist children with their learning of Chinese which involve both Mandarine and Cantonese, my students ranged from primary to high school children. I had also spent time as a volunteer in teaching groups of Taiwanese adult who had moved to Hong Kong how to speak, read and write the Cantonese language.
Hope my experience in conducting voiceover explain why I am suitable for the job and thank you for kindly considering.
