Build simple 3D model of data logger enclosure incl. end plates (with holes), print board & DB9 connectors

CONTEXT: We need a 3D model of a aluminium enclosure for a data logger.

__________________________________________

TOOL: We need the model done in a free/low-cost editor that is simple to use for further editing. This could e.g. be AutoDesk Fusion 360 or similar.

__________________________________________

MILESTONES: The first half of the payment will be made once the ENCLOSURE and PRINTBOARD have been made, i.e. parts 1) and 2) below, and shared with us. Second milestone will be when all parts are done.

__________________________________________

OUTLINE: The 3D model should contain a number of separable elements that should be possible to put together and take apart in the model easily.

1) ENCLOSURE

This should precisely match the linked 2D drawing (cf link below) with exact measurements, incl. a depth of 5 CM. Note that we need the enclosure’s interiors included in the model (i.e. where the print circuit board is to be inserted) - again, important that this is in the right place.

2) PRINTBOARD:

This should be modelled as a separable cube with dimensions 5 CM x 71 MM x 1.4 MM and should be separable from the model (but mounted inside in the middle by default).

3) END PLATES (2X)

We need to add 2x end plates (depth 1.5 MM), cf. above link for details - note that each of them have custom holes, which we would like to be fairly easy to move around. The end plates should be separable, but mounted on each side of the enclosure by default. Note that the DB9 holes should be modelled based on the exact measurements (Backmounted) here:

4) DB9 CONNECTORS (2X):

Cf. this link: [login to view URL]

We need model #173-E09-113Ryy1 (specifically mounting option 173-E09-113R001).

Note that there is already a 3D model available for download, so this should be quite fast to add. These connectors should also be separable from the rest, but mounted on the PRINTBOARD in one end of the enclosure as specified in the “backmounting” guide above.

OTHER: It is important that the measurements are exact and that the details are handled properly. Please check-in with us for questions as you work on it.

Also, when you provide a quote, please mention what software you intend to use and whether it is free or not. Thank you.
