Build a simple rig for 2 charachters (and maybe some simple shading.)

I need a simple rig for a male and a female charachter.
The charachters don't need to animate — they just need to pose, so the rig does'nt need long time complex rigging. Time and budget is of the essence here. It is important you can do it fast and reliable.
I need it in Maya and that is no problem for the male, because he is to be found in .ma and .mb. But i have bought the female from Turbosquid in .max. She is to be found in .obj, but i would like to know if her suit is in parts, so i can texture each part seperately without the use of texture and advanced UV mapping.
If the model is also one big object in .max i will also need you to do a shading texturing inside Maya for her. That is; make individual shaders for:
- the suit,
-the shoes
- the hair
- the shirt
Her whole body and head should all be the same shader.
