Build Chome Extension

We need an extension built for Google chrome that complements an existing website. At a high level, the extension shall do the following. 1. The extension will only work for specific websites in a pre-defined list. If the website open in chrome exists in this list, then the extension will scan for specific keywords shown on the site. 2. For each matched keyword found the extension will get metrics for that keyword from an external web service that returns JSON output (The external web service will be created by our team) 3. The metrics received shall be shown for the keywords by adding an overlay over the keyword or a click to open menu. (we are open to any UI suggestions you have) 4. The extension will add a link to the keyword that opens a specific webpage. Requirements 1. Freelancer should have already worked on creating a chrome extension and should provide samples for them. 2. Since the details above are not complete, we do not expect a final bid right now. However, please put in an approximate bid for the work specified above. We will share more details with you and you will have an opportunity to change your bid accordingly. 3. We plan to build the same extension for FireFox as well. However that will be done as a separate project after this one. 4. If you feel that a project like this would work better for you on an hourly basis, please do let us know. We would prefer a fixed price project, but are open to alternatives.
