ARM CortexM0 NRF51822 Bluetooth issue that needs solved.

We have developed a custom circuit board that includes the Nordic Semiconductor SOC NRF51822. I have been using the sample application ble_app_uart with only one minor change, I use the internal clock (NRF_CLOCK_LFCLKSRC_RC_250_PPM_4000MS_CALIBRATION) instead of an external 32.768kHz crystal. This application works great on the dev kit from Nordic. I can connect it to my iPhone no problem. However if I try to run this on my custom hardware it does not work. I run a debug session on my hardware using keil and J-Link LITE CortexM and find that it appears to halt on the line: // Initialise SoftDevice err_code = sd_softdevice_enable(clock_source, softdevice_assertion_handler); In the file ble_stack_handler.c So for some reason the softdevice is not initializing. I have tried this on a few modules, both ones of my design and some designed by others and available commercially. On all of them except the Nordic Dev kit I get this same issue. I am using softdevice: [login to view URL] but have also tried the version that was 6.0.0 alpha as well as 5.2.1. All with the same results. We are looking to hire someone for a few hours of consulting and problem solving to help us get past our issue with this software. This would require some skype calls (with screen sharing). You are also welcome to review our circuit schematics after you are selected. Please be familiar with the Nordic development as well as using Keil uVision to develop software for embedded ARM processors. We will pay you after you have helped us solve our problem.

I can help, for more detail about my experience please see my portfolio. About project, you can provede shematics for dev kit and for you device? also sources ble_app_uart? I can researching sources and then provide results (without remote session), and then trying make changes on your board. I am downloaded nRF51 SDK source code, you can provide difference between your hardware and dev. KIT?

Hi, I am an expert in PIC and Arduino so I think I will be able to help you on this. I've worked with nRF24L01 but not with NRF51822 however I think I can help you on these 2.4GHz transceivers. But I would like to have a look on your system and try to resolve your issue. You can simply pay me if I provide you any useful input to you. I am doing this since I am really enthusiastic on Embedded systems. In this case I don't have a NRF51822 in my device pool so I will not be able to develop a prototype here. However I would like to have a look on the system before you award me the project. Kindly note that I wouldn't be able to resolve the issue immediately since I have to have a good look on the data sheets and the application notes. /Chathuranga
