Summary: This is a small project for a Delphi programmer or a small team. The person or team that will undertake this project has to have experience in Delphi and the "Twilio REST Web Service Interface (API)" (see: [login to view URL]). The nominated person, or team will have to work remotely on our server (via TeamViewer or Ammyy), during working hours (eg from Monday to Friday, 09:00-18:00, GTM+02 Athens, Greece Timezone) because we need to add new code on an already existing software project. Description of the project: We have an already existing "RAD Studio 2010 (Delphi 2010)" source code project that we need to enrich with the functionality of sending SMS messages to contacts (eg Customers) by using the API of Twilio (see: [login to view URL]). The Twilio API supports many programming languages like PHP, Ruby, Python, Java, .NET, etc. See all of them at: [login to view URL]). Unforturnately, they do not support Delphi. We have created all the necessary database tables (MySQL database table: "message") and forms regarding this SMS sending project. The only thing we need is a programmer or small team to write the necessary source code inside our existing code in order to be able to send SMS messages via Twilio and, after sending them, record their delivery status in a database table (eg. if the SMS message is queued, delivered, delayed, undelivered, etc). The database table that stores each SMS message (MySQL database table: "message") and its current status (eg delivered) is already created by us. In the attached file "[login to view URL]" there are some routines we already developed (see routine: ExecuteRequest()) for this purpose by using the "Synapse TCP/IP and serial library library" ([login to view URL]). However, we cannot connect to the Twilio server via SSL and, as a result, we cannot send the SMS message... You can complete/fix the code of the "[login to view URL]", or write your own from scratch. In any case you must also need to write some additional code from scratch, in order to request from the Twilio service the status of each SMS message and write it in the MySQL database table called "message" we created especially for this. Note that the SMSs must be send as quickly as possible, therefore the code must be very fast and efficient. Hello, I have made a quick demo in Delphi2010 that uses the Twilio rest API to send SMS and get the message status, please message me if you want to test it, because I can’t upload it here. I did not use Synapse in this demo. Is it mandatory to use Synbase? Also, Is it possible to give the winning bidder what is necessary to do the job off line (Database,form design…) and then after finishing the work, He can use TeamViewer to merge changes? I have very good experience in Delphi. I did not work with Twilio Api before, but I have experience in other rest API(s) like Twitter, Google, Yahoo… and Twilio API is not much different, so, I think I can help you in this project. Just I am little bet concerned about the TeamViewer issue, and lowering the session’s time as much as possible, because, I don’t have good internet connection all the time. Best Regards, I{Codes;}

Hello, In the last couple days I worked with the Twilio REST API, using PHP. I recently worked with the Magento REST API in Delphi XE6, with great results. Although I used the Synapse library (in Delphi 7), for my recent REST API project I used only the native components that come with Delphi XE, with no external dependencies. If Delphi 2010 has such components, is it ok with you to use those instead of the Synapse library? Hello! I am delphi expert from more than 11 years, I have experiece working with API Rest, not exactly with TWilio but with Amazon, Azure and other more, so, is not problem after read the Twilio formats. The currents XE versions offert most advance in such application, it is just suggest. Let us discuss this project on private about, Regards

Hello I'm a experienced Delphi developer, working since Delphi 3 and up to XE6. Embarcadero MVP since it started in 2012. I've done a series of Rest clients in the past and I'm familiarized with the concepts and details to make projects like yours a success. I've already visited the Twilio documentation and I'm sure this can be done within the specified time frame. You must provide a valid Twilio user to make tests before releasing the library/component. I will first check if the code you already have can be fixed to work with SSL, and if not, I will create my own implementation using INDY. Once it is working on a test project, I will then connect to your server's in order to integrate it with your existing software. In any case, the resulting project will depend on OpenSSL library to handle the SSL part of the communication. Don't hesitate to contact me if you want to further discuss your project. Kind regards.

I know very well the Twilio API and I have 15 years of experience working with Delphi and SMS (including SMPP protocol). I can do the job if you let me remotely access a comouter with RAD Studio and the source code you want to change. As Im based in Brasil (GMT-3), I can work in this project between 13:00 and 16:00 (Greece Timezone).
