Introduction
Anorexia Nervosa is an eating disorder that entails a person avoiding eating and exercising extremely for the sake of losing their weight or making it as low as possible (NHS 2017). This is a mental health problem that entails a lot of factors that make a person fear being fat or yearns to be as thin as possible. In most cases, it has been reported in young girls and women. However, the disease has become widespread among men and young boys as well, over the recent past. This situation makes it a very important disorder, as it covers the entire population. It has also been reported as the leading cause of mental health deaths in the United Kingdom. It entails the use of all means to avert the intake of food, including vomiting immediately after meals. In addition to this, some patients use laxatives, which are drugs used to remove fluids from the body and maintain a low weight.
The patients are usually light-headed, which means that they become dizzy in most cases or fainted (Shepphird 2009). Some patients have also been reported to have weak bones, which is termed as osteoporosis, cardiovascular diseases, as well as infertility due to the adversities of anorexia nervosa.
