The Things Network server is "too Europe-centric", and, in my opinion, too heavy-weight for private networks, though some features that may be mission-critical for North American market(s) like class B support aren't yet properly implemented in it.
Regarding Mainflux, it's UI is still way far from being perfect or just finished as they have put most of their efforts into backend development first.
Consider using ChirpStack LoRaWAN server which is pretty popular for private network and, from my experience, is quite stable being properly configured, and ThingsBoard IoT platform, which isn't ideal, but pretty well works in conjunction wih ChirpStack.
I have a number of ChirpStack instances running under my control, so if you have a gateway and a couple of devices I can create an account for you. Then we'll be able to connect your private network to ThingsBoard Community Edition and discuss your needs and the future steps in greater details.
Thanks,
WBW,
Pavel.
