Hi there,
Can you provide the book's word count? Or, preferably, the word count of the part(s) that you want me to proofread. I quote my rate and time frame according to the word count, as I work on a quantitative basis.
I've provided proofreading services for multiple clients and proofread six books (one non-fiction, rest all fiction) and dozens of articles, in the past few months. If you visit my profile, you'll find reviews by these clients - all of whom have been satisfied by my services.
As a general guide, I can proofread around 5,000 words a day because I'm an individual and not a team, I do not outsource my projects, and I don't use shortcuts (such as Grammarly) to get the job done quickly. I take my time to proofread and line edit the book, and only turn it in once I'm satisfied with it. I'll use a change tracker and all the work will be done in Microsoft Word (online software can be used if absolutely required, but I prefer to use Word).
For the quoted amount, I'll proofread up to 10,000 words. The quoted time frame is a little on the higher side, as I like to err on the side of safety. Your time is valuable, and I wouldn't want to waste it by asking for an extension.
If you think I'm the right freelancer for your project, message me the details, and we can discuss this further.
Thanks,
Priya
