I’m looking for an experienced developer to build a comparison table that will help people looking for an online broker, based on a range of criteria displayed on the table. Before reading on, please view the attached mockup, which illustrates how the comparison table should work. When designing the table please take into consideration page speed (faster the better). The 3 main elements of the table will be: 1) What to compare, allows the user to choose what data they want to compare 2) Brokers to compare, allows the user to choose which broker to compare (will come preloaded with 3 top picks chosen by brokernotes) 3) The Information to be displayed in table form as per mockup. Table Properties The information for the comparison table should all be on the same URL. In other words, when a user clicks or unclicks an option from 1 or 2, the information should be loaded using CSS or jQuery (i.e. not by loading a new URL). For example, if a user clicks commission and adds the broker 'IG' , commission column and IG row should be added automatically to the table without reloading the page. When a new “what to compare” option is added its column will appear to the right of the current table values. When more brokers are added to the list, they will be displayed underneath the current top selected broker (in position #2). If the user sorts the table again after adding the additional brokers, the brokers will be sorted accordingly. The user should be able to sort the data for min. deposit, number of traders, year founded, margin, trust score, commission and leverage by clicking on the title on the table. first click should sort by highest value to lowest clicking again should sort by lowest value to highest. Arrow image should change to reflect this The active sort field title in the table will be bolded to indicate what it is being sorted by. number one recommended broker by brokernotes should be highlighted as per mockup. This broker should be able to be customised by us. No matter the position of the broker in the table, it should remain highlighted. When mouse is hovered over trophy icon in logo, information regarding award should be displayed in hover box. When mouse is hovered over graph in trust column, information regarding trust score will be displayed via hover box When mouse is hovered over users choose pie graph, information regarding the user % choice will be displayed The width of the table should be fixed dependent upon the user's screen and table options should scale as more comparison data is chosen. the call to action button and logo should not scale and remain the same size. The headers should not stack vertically when it adjusts. For mobile graph, please compare vertically when using upright. The default table should show spreads (pips), platforms, min deposit, margin, commission and trust score. The table should by default be sorted by trust score. (default table and sort should be customisable by us should we decide to change the defaults.) “Want to compare a different type of broker” should offer a drop down menu to compare other brokers. it will go the a separate URL hosting the separate table for other brokers for example CFD brokers, Investment Brokers (This should be easily customisable by us to add/remove new tables.) Left Column Properties Left hand column will be static bar, when user scrolls comparison table down it will not move and information will continued to be displayed. When mouse is hovered over what to “What To Compare” options, information regarding option should appear as hover box. We must be able to add and delete possible options to the “What To Compare”section.
