A quick fix is require to close pop up on maximize

I am developing a website. We have a responsive menu which appear if you decrease your browser to below 500px. Once you click on responsive menu, a pop up menu appear. If you maximise the browser, the pop stays there. I need someone to help me with this. So what I want is : on maximize the pop up menu should disappear.
