We would like a wordpress solution developed that will connect to a third party Restful API and import all products, prices and variations. It must also interact with the API to pass over orders from our website (To the API). The API will also provide pricing, which must be imported as the base price, with options to EASILY add a percentage on top en-mass (There are about 10,000 products and over 200,000 variations in total.) It will work like this:
Woocommerce will initially sync its products offering with the third party API, and check for changes at a administrator defined rate. The administrator may choose to adjust the final pricing that will be displayed to the consumer by either a global percentage, a custom amount, or both. The product will then be displayed on the front end. When a visitor purchases the product and confirms the payment, Woocommerce will then send a POST request with the appropriately formatted product to the API. All attributes must be imported so that shipping can be calculated. Shipping must have two available options. Either drop shipping, which will call the API for a shipping quote, or in-house shipping, which will work with the standard woocommerce plugins that handle shipping estimation.
This plugin must work in such a way that not every variation will make an API call when users try to configure the product front-end.
It will be cached in REDIS for extra speed.

The requirements are quite clear and straightforward. Basically, woocommerce will act like a frontend to your 3rd party provider. Inventory will be updated at regular intervals defined. Prices will be altered by a defined percentage, amount or both.
2 types of shipping; drop shipping which will ask for a quote from provider via API or standard woocommerce shipping to be handled by you.
Avoiding API calls for variation configuration is rather confusing. At that point that variation data will already be imported and locally available, isn't it? Am I missing something?
To make sure there's no misunderstanding, Redis will be used for caching the woocommerce, not as a buffer for API responses.
