Fix on-click event tracking code needed for Google Analytics Goal

I need a Google certified developer, who is able to look at my simple js script/HTML document and help us find the best solution to fix the script to get the event trigger to work upon pressing submit.
I've taken some screenshots of the code, I have attached to 2 HTML documents and I've tried and tested both HTML options.
From our testing, we conclude that everything about the functionality of the form is working perfectly (auto-messages, record transferred into CRM), but the problem is that when a user goes down the funnel (from ad --> to landing page --> to Schedule a demo page, I NEED to be able to MEASURE ALL THE WAY FROM THE CORRECT CHANNEL ( whether that be Paid CPC, Referral, Organic, Linkedin Ads, etc. Currently I am measuring everything with Google Analytics Goals and I plan to continue using GA.
