Develop a script or utility for me that that will do the following data manipulation between two text files. The script or utility must be able to be launched, interacted with, and run from a Windows PC desktop running Windows 7, 8, or 10. All the files will be located in the same folder. The first file in the folder will be the destination file for all appended data gathered for each specified job. The files from which data is extracted are text files of a size of between 1 and 12 Kb, from which 5-15 consecutive lines, each of which may contain up to 80 characters will be selected. The number of files from which the extractions will occur will be between 100 – 2,500 files. The lines are to be copied and appended to the destination file (first file in the designated folder). There is to be a separator line between each group of lines extracted. The separator line is to contain this format “***** (Job Name, count number out of total files selected for processing (i.e. ***** Barber 1027, 243/1000 *****. Before beginning need to be able to; a.) Select the folder location for the job, b.) Name the job, c.) Select the number of files that are to be processed, d: Select which range of lines to be processed from each file. e.) Confirm selections, once approved begin the job Automatically place the separator line character between the appended line groups first before copying over the targeted lines and keep repeating the process until all the selected number of files are processed. At the conclusion of the job, scan the destination file (first in folder) for and replace each of the following charterers if found with a space: á, Á, ã, Ã, Ç, Ë, {, %,?, /, ì, <, &.
