Create new home page replica that I can easily edit, and replace slider.

Since upgrading to Revolution Slider 5.0 plugin for worpdress my slider hasn't worked. Their tech support team has not been able to resolve the issue. Their is a conflict with the theme design and the plugin. Unfortunately, I'm tired of waiting for Rev Slider tech support. I'd already created a new slider with a free slider plugin that seems to work nicely, and I'd just like to forget about rev slider for now. I also didn't design the theme, and the designer made it so the home page isn't a page I can edit, it's like a redirect to the main index page.... I'd like to make our home page a page that I can go and edit simply with no trouble. You have to be able to get the job done NOW!
