changing URL code in a theme that I bought online

1- There are several categories. However, when i click on drone, the phrase kategori is always in the URL, I can change it to something else in theme options, but it is not possible to completely get rid of it. Can the phrase (kategori) an the hashtag be coded away altogether in all the pages?

Will the hashtag have to say much for SEO and indexing nowadays?
Will future updates of the theme zero out the coding, or do I have to install a child theme?
