We have a school management system built on ruby on rails. It has an attendance system which sends notification sms to parents. Every student has a biometric id which links to their student id and other info. The biometric ID will be sent by devices to a port on the server from where it has to be read to get student info and then mark attendance accordingly using the student info (student id). You have to develop an application which does all this and also send SMS for in and out time of the students depending on the time of the biometric id received on the port. Sample api and sample codes will be provided through an easy api platform where html and ruby code can be easily tested and implemented.
