Hello, We want something in theory simple for someone with git/github experience. What we have: - An app built on top of CodeIgniter (in php) - It makes API calls to a service from a whitelisted IP. - We have a dev environment and a live set up (both targeting whitelisted API calls) What we want: - While developing we want to be able to track all file changes. - Ability to work locally with use of proxy (so the API calls will work) We can create a private repository for you so we commit/add there all the files. Can someone deliver the following: - A default CodeIgniter installation that makes a default call (we will provide endpoints and exact call) through our whitelisted server. All files changes tracked. We can provide access to the servers as needed. Alternatively we can work remotely (via teamviewer) if it is an easy fix. I expect this to be a 2-3h work and we can do it ASAP provided you have done something similar/the same. Let me know if any of the above assumptions are wrong.

Hi, my suggestion is to put dev environment under version control and create proxy class, that will handle API requests and return static predefined data for a default call. Do you often tend to hire the cheapest developer? Consider that your business can loose money and time if work is not done correctly. These risks are lying on the surface: - You’re giving the least experienced person access to the heart of your web site and your data. - Aim is to finish a task not to deliver value to your project. - Code is not clean and professional: no comments, no methodologies, no readability. - Each iteration of this rush job makes your project less and less maintainable. - Every new feature takes more and more time to implement, cause the update brakes what has been working properly before.
