I want to make some configurations to an existing Wordpress plugin that connects with [login to view URL]: [login to view URL]

Currently the plugin creates 2 widgets a event list widget and a single event list widget.

The event widget displays upcoming events of the group with the option of selecting the number of events to show. The single event list widget show details of 1 upcoming event by manually inputing the event id (this has to continually be updated manually).

The change that I want made to the plugin is that the single event list widget become dynamic, eliminating the need of manually inputting an event id and having it automatically show the latest upcoming event.
