Create a command for Autocad 2014 which will create pdf by selecting boundary of my Autocad drawing . 1. The command should recognize the outer boundary for the [login to view URL] outer boundary is always under a layer called 8_FRAME. [login to view URL] command should name the drawing from a tag value present inside a block . In the attached drawing there is a block named as "TITLE BLOOK" and it consists of multiple tags. The command should derive names form tag "DWG_NO". The value inside the tag should be the name for generated pdf. 3. The generated pdf should then be automatically saved to the directory (P:\PRODUCTION\DRAWINGS). I am attaching a drawing for review and test basis. The program should be written in C# and VBA .NET Please review the above details and let me know if anything is unclear. Thanks.

Hi, Your specification below is unclear. "The program should be written in C# and VBA .NET" There is no such thing as vba.net. There is vb.net (delivered as a dll file) and vba (delivered as a dvb file). This is not a complex program to create. I can produce it in vb.net, vba or in AutoLisp. C# and vb.net are somewhat AutoCad and Windows platform specicific. VBA (dvb) requires an AutoCad add-on enabler is installed. AutoLisp would be the simplest and most compatible across various AutoCad versions. How is the program to be invoked? Command: AUTOPDF Regards, Eric

Hi. I'm a CAD programmer from over 25 years. I have created many AutoCAD routines using Autolisp, VBA or VB .Net. I have did what you ask many times using VBA or VB .net but I prefer VB .Net. I notice that your drawing is not to scale so a «Scale to fit» will be use to plot your drawing and I will use DWG to PDF as printer. You will have to call the command using command line. I have done similar work earlier for another client. Just one Command and the PDF is ready. Technology: C#.Net, AutoCAD API. Windows Platform : Windows 7 - 32bit & 64bit Deliverables : DLL file for AutoCAD 2014 Value Addition : Separate DLL's which will work in AutoCAD 2015 & AutoCAD 2016 as well. Thank you.
