I have also used BUMP apis both in Android and iPhone devices to communicate with each other, but later this acquired by Google and now" Google Authenticator App" and "Google Chrome Synchronization between devices" are using this approach. So I know how to handle drawbacks of NFC because many devices do not have NFC functionality. I can use Geo-location information to overcome this.
