Help with Wordpress Gallery

I have installed a wordpress theme for my client and I just need some help finishing it off.
He is a photographer and wants a gallery with three categories (or more) displayed on the front page (with thumbs) linking to the various categories.
He needs to be able to easily manage the gallery in the admin area.
The top menu needs to have the categories too - via a drop down menu.
Its possible this theme already has this functionality but I cant work it out, need someone who is good with Wordpress.
Also need some help centering the logo when it goes responsive.
The theme is Wise Guys - Responsive Multi-purpose WordPress - so previous experience with this theme an advantage.
Please provide examples of your wordpress gallery work.
