Simple PHP ordering system script that would control and limit the amount of orders and restrict delivery areas by postcodes.
We run a very small cake shop in Aylesbury United Kingdom and would want to revamp our online ordering and delivery system. We make 90 cakes a week, and three different days to deliver;
30 cakes on Monday
30 cakes on Weds
30 cakes on Friday
So in effect, when people place an order for cakes on the website, the script should limit the orders to a maximum of 90 cakes each week, any orders above the maximum number (90) reached, automatically shifts to the following week. Likewise for the deliveries, when people place an order for cakes on the website the script should restrict the delivery dates to Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays any orders above the maximum number (90) reached, automatically shifts to the following week.
Also the script should make it possible to apply a simple discount to an order, For example: we want that our customers to obtain a 10% discount if they ordered more than 8 items.
Similarly, the bakery is situated in Aylesbury and so we only deliver to Aylesbury and Berkhamsted. The script should thus give an error message if a post code that is outside the area of Aylesbury and Berkhamsted is entered, with a message stating that “WE do not cover deliveries to those areas”.
