Overview Student essay system and chat software

Dear Freelancers, I have got a project which only the PHP and database work needed to be done, nothing more, here is the write up: 1 A site visitor will be able to enter the student essay contest. The form will collect their full name full address address line city state zip code phone number email address and their entry open text box 500 word limit. They will read and agree to the terms and conditions of site use after which to the terms and conditions of entry and their essay will be saved to the database. 2 Free members will be able to view the listing of essays. The list will be search-able by student first name last name and state drop-down. The member will be able to click on a student name to view the contest entry. The free member will be able to vote for each entry once each day. 3 The admin will be able to turn on-off the essay voting section. The admin will be able to view the listing of entries organized by the number of votes they received. The admin will be able to mark entries to go the judges. 4 The admin will be able to manage judge accounts. A judge account consists of full name email address a username and a password. 5 A judge will be able to log in to view a listing of entries marked for the judges by the admin. The judge will not be able to view the entry information only the number and the entry text. The judge will be able to rate the essay on a scale of 1-50. The score will be averaged with all of the other judges scores to determine the overall score for the entry. A judge will only be able to rate each entry once. 6 The admin will be able to view the judged entries list organized by average rating. The admin will be able to mark one entry as the winner. Ability to upload an image JPG or GIF as part of the winning entry. 7 The winner039s name the image and their entry will be displayed on a front-end page of the site. Notes Database Overview Audio and Video contest modifications Modifications- 1 The system will be modified to have two types of contest the essay type that currently exists and a new video type. The admin will be able to click checkboxes to toggle contest entry periods for the different types on or off. The admin will be able to click checkboxes to toggle the voting phase for different types on or off. 2 For video contests the system will collect a video file instead of the entry text. The system will convert the video to Flash via the HIT Flimmer script. 3 Free members and site members will be able to view the video files in an embedded Flash video player. 4The same voting rules that apply to essay contests will apply to the new new contest types. The admin will be able to mark entries of any type to go to the judges. 5 Judges will view the entries as two separate lists by type. The same judging functionality that applies to essays will apply to the other types. The judges will view videos in the embedded Flash video player. 6 The admin will be able to mark one winner per type with the same image upload functionality applying. Entries of the video type that were marked as the winner will appear on the winners page as detailed in the previous proposal.
