Document Website

We need an excellent web browser based document viewer and a very basic website (1-5pages) created for us. The website will be used to host the browser based document viewer (created in Flash) to open and display the following document formats on the website: pdf, doc, xls, ppt. The document viewer should NOT be created using existing document viewing software (e.g. FlashPaper, iPaper, OpenOffice, Zoho, etc.). The document viewer must be 100% created by you, the developer, and convert and display the documents using Flash. This project can be completed using a different language/program other than Flash (i.e. Javascript and HTML) but you must provide reasoning as to why your solution would work better than Flash. The document viewer must be able to load documents very quickly and allow the user to do the following: 1. Search the text within the document viewer 2. Select text within the document viewer and attach comments/notes to the selected text (see [login to view URL] for visual) 3. Zoom in and zoom out on pages The ability to attach comments on text within documents should be like that of [login to view URL] but we also want search feature added to document viewer (to find words/phrases within document). ## Deliverables The website itself must be kept very simple, load fast, and its primary purpose is to host the documents and document viewer but the site must also possess the following functions/features/pages: 1. Upload a document 2. Document library (list of all uploaded documents from all users) 3. User login/registration 4. Basic text pages (I will supply the text for you to add): About, FAQ, Terms This is a simple but brand-new site that also needs a very good administrative backend to handle users and documents (i.e. ban users, delete documents, etc). We need full design done, with heavy graphics, including a new logo and colors for our business. In terms of style, it needs to be Web 2.0; simple and sleek design that is very easy to use. The website, documents, and comments/notes (attached to documents) must be searchable by Google, Yahoo, and Live.com. Extensive experience and expertise using Flash and related document viewing/handling and related user-interactive technologies are a must. Designers/developers must be able to fluently communicate in English. Our company will have one individual dedicated to this project full-time that will be available 5-7 days per week. Daily communication with your designers/developers is a must. We need this project completed within 90 days after the project is awarded to the bidder we choose. When submitting your bid please include a list of recent projects that identifies your expertise that is needed to complete our project. If we are completely satisfied with your work, we will have no hesitation in establishing an ongoing working relationship to expand the website's features and functions. We are not looking for the cheapest solution, but the best solution and the best people to work with.
