This is a hack/mod of the pnphpbb module of postnuke that should allow any new topic to be marked as a news item. A block should then be able to pull any "n" number of items from any "f" forum speficied in the block admin that is marked as news. Posting a new topic: A simple checkbox should be displayed next to the "submit" button for any new pnphpbb topic. The label should read "mark as news." Once the user hit's submit, the post should be recognized as a news item w/ a boolean in the database. Displaying topics marked as news as a block: The "pnphpbb-news" block should then be able to pull THOSE ITEMS MARKED AS NEWS into a block that can be displayed on the portal's home page. There should be an option to display the title of the thread, the initial post in the thread or both in the block. This module should NOT interfere w/ any other installed module
