Hello Scott,
My name is Hash, I am a professional hardware designer from Jordan.
I have worked on a lot of projects during the past 5 years including RF boards, Power management/converters, high frequency, analog, digital, FPGAs and the list goes on.
I use CADENCE allegro for my designs, i also can work with both eagle and Altium designers.
PCB design process can be simplified, firstly designing PCB based on the required inputs and outputs is an efficient way of working, it will leave only simple questions for you to answer in order to complete the design, the rest will be done by me.
Now the board design process will be as follows:
1. we make a block diagram of what you want your board to do.
2. we determine the main components and parts needed to do it.
3. we start drawing the schematic, easy but needs a lot of attention.
4. we prepare our BoM (bill of materials).
5. we determine board outlines (layers counts, dimensions, thickness...etc)
6. we start lay-outing the board, requires a lot of care as we have some sensitive signals.
7. we generate Gerber files, i.e. manufacturing files.
after you send the Gerber files to manufacturing you will get your board ready to run.
I am looking forward to hear back from you to discuss this further and help you throughout the whole design process.
Best regards.
