I currently have two programs they are a multi threaded server/client. The server checks a mysql database for files to send to clients. Then sends the file to the client via a custom file transfer protocol. Once the file is done transferring the client sends a received command back to the server. Then the server changes the mysql to mark that file as sent. I would like to change the file transfer protocol to a simple wget. Due to it the old protocol not working over slow connections. I would also be open to other ideas to fix this, but I've tested it with wget, and it seems to fix the issue.
