It would be better you put Facebook's AsyncDisplayKit (the engine behind Facebook and Instagram feeds) for creating custom controls. You can render video for the most part on background threads using their AVideoNode. I really do not know what API/Library/Framework is being used in your app for that. Also, what type of lag/hiccups you're facing while scrolling collectionView/tableView/scrollView/whatever controls you use in your app. Does it work same whenever there is slow network as well as normal network? Do I only need to manage it with some boolean value or resetting the video every time when in cellForRow: delegate(existing code)? Can you please show me how you did that? or Do I need to start from scratch? However, my suggestion is, incase if you're not using the Facebook's AsyncDisplayKit in your current iOS project, you should try using it for at least one; Besides, I know Upgradation and Improvises are for a developer to fix, if he/she chooses to fix. In this case I have a good code review practice to have the code generate minimal possible warnings. I am so much familiar with comprehensive list of reasons( Apple Appstore Review Guidelines documents) that can lead to your app's rejection in the review process. Also know various approaches to hide that latency is by making use of Firebase's built-in caching, Stripe API integration and customizations, Video encryptions. Generally we upload/download all the source code into or from Github/BitBucket before release.
