Business English learning program via iPhone (iPad?)

--- Purpose/Aim We have provided online Business English learning program mainly via PC/Mac. Our main audiences are Japanese firms but we would like to expand to non-Japanese fields. Though we already provide our learning program via iPhone, iPad and Android, it is more complemental delivery system. --- Important factors. Self study items are usually boring and hard to accomplish. The key word for this program should be "addiction" and "fun" However the application is more for business persons or college students, so the design or taste should be professional GUI. --- Types of Learning program. We have been providing this program for ten years. The basic idea is that students read and listen to the business article stories and improve his/her comprehension. We pick up 5 key vocabulary a day and students take weekly vocabulary quiz. Five articles are given a week and students are ranked based on the reading speed of article, answering time and the percentage of questions answered correctly. --- What type of iPhone application we are looking for: 1) We currently provide material using the latest news article however for this application, we use old material which we already provided 6 months or a year ago. All the material is not update daily or news articles are fixed, for instance picking up articles in the certain period of time. However the program should be flexible, we should add new contents or replace the contents in the future. 2) Once students choose unknown words in the article, the definition of the word would pop-up. (This function is already in the iPhone system I believe) 3) Any words or phrases, students can copy and paste to the other program such as Evernote. (It is already available. ) 4) The audio voice and the text should be synchronized. In other words, each line should be highlighted when the voice read out that particular line. (Even we turn off the audio, the line would be highlighted just for speed guideline for the students. ) 5) Weekly vocabulary quiz. 6) Rank each students based on the reading speed (words per minute), the percentage of correct answer of questions regarding the article and result of weekly vocabulary quiz. 7) Learning record/journal. Application offers students progress record including ranking. 8) Each user can communicate via application or outside of the application such as FB. 9) Multi language For those who are interested in this project, please contact me at any time.
