Q400 Aircraft Weight and Balance Application

I am a pilot working for Arik Air in Lagos, Nigeria. I live in the USA and am currently on a rotation of 1 month on, 1 month off. I'm currently looking to streamline the process of preparing the load sheet (which must be done before each flight). After all of the passengers board our aircraft, we are giving a sheet of paper telling us how many passengers we have, and where they are sitting. We use this information to calculate the weight and balance to make sure the aircraft is:
1) Below the maximum ramp weight
2) That when we arrive at our destination, we will be below our maximum landing weight
3) That the center of gravity is within limits.
This is typically done manually using a pen and calculator. I personally use an excel worksheet I designed; however, if we wish to get the program approved, a more professional application would be desired.
The application should do the following:
It should allow the input of new aircraft, and with that new aircraft, it would save the Basic Empty Weight, and the Empty center of gravity.
Once this data is saved, the pilot can select the aircraft he/she is flying and is then faced with a new screen.
This screen allows the entry of the following data which varies with each flight:
Observer (person in jumpseat in cockpit)? Yes or No - This could just be a check box
Any weight in the forward cargo compartment? - A number pad is brought up to enter this data
How many pax in zones 1-7 respectively? - A drop down box with the numbers 0-12 available for each zone.
How much weight is in the Aft 1 cargo compartment? - number pad entry.
How much weight is in the Aft 2 cargo compartment? - number pad entry.
How much fuel is on board? - number pad entry
How much fuel do you expect to burn during taxi? - number pad entry
How much fuel do you expect to burn during the flight? - number pad entry
As each of these fields is modifed, several numbers should be displayed below for informational purposes:
Empty Weight (all the weight added up minus the fuel)
Ramp Weight (all the weight added up including the fuel)
Take off weight (Ramp weight minus expected taxi burn)
Landing Weight (Take off weight minus the fuel burned in flight)
Center of gravity - should tell the actual value, and if possible, the point should be graphed to see where it falls on the Center of Gravity Chart.
Once all of the data has been entered, the pilot simply has to copy down the important values, such as:
Whether or not there is an observer (person sitting in jumpseat in cockpit)
number of adult/children passengers
number of infants on board
Basic Empty Weight
Weight of all passengers
Weight of all cargo
Takeoff fuel (Fuel on ramp minus taxi burn)
Takeoff Weight
Expected burn during flight
Landing Weight
These values should be presented in a format that is identical to the entry of our soon to be completed load sheet. This would help the pilot completing the load sheet to copy down the data from the program.
I have done the calculations and so forth with an excel worksheet, so I don't anticipate the actual calculation side of things to be much of a problem; however, the graphical presentation is what I lack the knowledge to do (as well as making the actual app of course) and kindly ask for assistance!
I have attached my personal Excel worksheet that does the very basic calculations.
