Need a "Memory Leak" looked into that caused database failure

***DATABASE THAT HAS ISSUE IS MARIADB*** Earlier ALL the websites on my server went down. They all had the "Error establishing a database connection" message. The Host Gator tech told me "the mysql process is reported as dead. I have restarted" After the restart everything came back up and the Tech investigated WHY it happened. He replied "looks like the server ran out of ram due to the mysql processes at 5:21/5:22 server time. Looks like a memory leak due to a long running yet sleeping process."
