I need to build a simple Project, Resource Management Tool that can be used to manage the following
- Ability to add a Portfolio of Projects
- Ability to add Projects and its main features in a tree structure
- Ability to assign priorities to all the projects
- Ability to assign priorities to all features
- Ability to assign an estimate for feature (hours/story points)
- Ability to show the estimates like gnatt bars in the calendar view
- Ability for the gnatt bars can be graphically adjusted and dragged as needed
- The projects and tasks all will be in the left side like a tree structure and the gnatt on right
- This is similar layout like a typical Microsoft Project but the gnatt lines are draggable and adjustable graphically
- Ability to assign resources and percentage to each of these features
- Ability to show the resources who are overloaded
- Ability to see reports based on resources or on projects
- Ability to re-prioritize and see where the resources land over the year and projected resource loads
- Ability to see how and what features and projects are being worked on in a bi-weekly or monthy formats
- Ability for a manager to look at the projects, re prioritize them and drag the features to different months in the year as per the priorty
If there is already a tool that is available in the market that can do all this and give good dashboards I can use that tool.
