Mine is a short children's book, approximately ages 4-8. It tells the story of hound without a name and lives with other hounds at a place where it is abused and neglected. The hound runs away and is hit by a car-not hurt- and taken home by the driver, where he and the family adopt the hound, give it the love it never knew and give a name which the hound cherishes. The story is a fictionalized account of how my family and myself came to know our dog many years ago and she became a vital part of the family. The book is written to partly be marketed along with a line of dog treats my wife produces, in honor of our dog. The book is designed to also stand alone without the product, but selling the book along with the product is what gave the idea for the book. I have not been able to find an agent to help get it through to a publisher, so an illustrator should know that.

My process is to do this by hand, then digitize it, I'd provide you with sketches for approval, then commence with the detailing and coloring.
