Build a Website

I am an author. Finished with a book that took me Five Years to write. Now it’s done. And this project is about getting it out into the world while also creating a home for the Dirtyman. (World’s filthiest Superhero) while simultaneously creating a funny cutting edge parenting blog. The Book site is started and you can view it at www.barelyhuman.net. The Site has been started and can be viewed at [login to view URL] I started building both of these in WordPress, but am having a tough time finding the time smoothing out the form and putting on the final touches. I need a wordpress develeloper who can implement these final touches and show me how to harness the tools. So Speaking ENGLISH will be important. Below are the notes I made this morning for myself. Parenting Blog and home of The DirtyMan. world’s worst Superhero. This is the more practical day to day space of the Dirtyman. Really more DirtyDad aka Freddy J. I want a blog type landing page. That is a dedicated page that will visually rotate my most recent posts. Original writings, images and videos. I want a clean image dependent single box (Perhaps Gallery) with space for a first paragraph of that day’s post. (Underneath/On Top) Read More link/Button I know I’d like a widgeted sidebar on the right. My own content will stand next to other content I want to drive people towards. The greats of the digital frontier. Joe Rogan. Neil Degrasse Tyson. The main Mommies and the most amazing history teacher ever. I want to create a page that is dedicated to some of these content providers give a brief explanation for each when visitors land while also funnelling posts (that are deemed relevant-OurFriends tagged) to that page. For [login to view URL] Is my book website and the place where we meet the Dirtyman. Where the Dirtyman becomes a star and I become a director. I want a simple clean video page setup for TheDirtyman page. I’ll ultimately have three or four total videos. (Parts and full length Film) But they will spaced out and I wont have as much content there on a day to day basis. The Journey Page needs A very simple gallery installed in each alternating picture pane/box (no thumbnails no options a 3 sec fade for 3 photos in each and every box) Constant rotation. Button’s need to be modified. The Book Page. Needs to be created and set up in a shell with three things. 1-A free PDF download of the intro & first chapter? And links to the Amazon & Itunes book portals. (I don’t yet have the book for sale.) View my sites. Take a look and make an offer. But what I’ll need beyond design is also some guidance as to how to utilize these wordpress tools moving forward. I plan to manage my own site.
