Bullfinch International Limited is a very small sized supplier of hair extensions at the luxury end of the market, we are launching a brand new styling to the company, whilst keeping the name of the company the same.
Part 1 – Image Logo touch up and light alteration
I would like to have the logo attached re-worked so that it does not become pixalated when blown up to large sizes, this may mean that it needs to be re-drawn/created. Also I would like to make the lines clear and distinct, as it gets pixelated when I Blow it up to large sizes. The for used is ‘Corabael’
The frame of the current logo is actually made from the black and while crest in the weblink below:

Finally I would like to make a logo vibrant in a classy way, so apart from sending me a black and white version, could you also play with the colours so show me some other colours that look classy but with more character (e.g. Harrods green) than just black and white. Please note, if one of the other colours are chosen, it will probably become the new company colour.
Part 2 – Designing of 4 product line logos
Also we are launching 4 new product lines, and would like their logos created. Each one must be a different style/concept, however all logos need to be made of the name, no pictures, animations or images. The names and descriptions of the 4 product lines are as follows:
Purity – untouched, unprocessed real human hair. The most premium product we sell, we need a product line logo that fits a luxury, high end and premium product (logo of chopard watches comes to mind, or the Harrods logo, but open to other suggestions)
Revolution – machine curled hair. Logo needs to be stylish but funky, this is for women who wear funky frizzy hair, so ‘curl’ is your inspiration.
Perfection – pre-set, styled and coloured hair extensions. Very good for what they are but not versatile. Open to your suggestions for a logo.
Aurum – hair designed for women looking for lighter colours, like European hair. Eg blonds. The word means ‘gold’ in latin. Open to suggestions for logo.
Please Note: All Logos will be on a white background so must be designed keeping this in mind.
In all the 4 cases above, I am looking for logos that are made from the name of the brand. In each case the Logo should be stylish, not too garish, the brand is portraying a refined / luxury brand image, as well as something ‘light’ and ‘airy’. Colours I will leave to you, but they must give the viewer the impression of a ‘quality’ ‘high value’ health and beauty product.
The logos you design will appear on the same packaging as the company logo in part 1 (see pixelated version attached), so your designed logo should not look too out of place when printed beneath the Bullfinch Logo in part 1. Also please note, the deliverables in part 1 and 2 will be expanded and printed on posters 10ft x 10ft so the picture quality needs to be able to handle such image expansion without loss of clarity and sharpness.
Please see links below, as a good comparison to what a competitor has done:

Part 3 – Design of a brochure (4 pages including front page and back page)
I would like a catalogue/brochure designed, I will provide images and all written content as well as a PDF of the old catalogue, it will have 4 pages, UK A4 size. Front, two inners and the pack page. I would like to have material on all pages apart from the first which will be a minimalist design. The format given back must be PDF. The catalogue must look like the brochure from a luxury brand, so colours should be appropriate and not garish. The front cover should be minimalist but striking.
Your response:
Please give me a quote of part 1, 2 and 3 separately, also you don’t have to quote for all 3 parts, you can quote only for the parts you are interested in, in your response, please clearly state which parts you will be bidding for.
Please note, for parts 1 and 2, I WILL ONLY BE PAYING FOR WHAT I SEE, WORK WILL NOT BE AWARDED OR PAYMENT MADE ON THE BASIS OF YOU EXISTING PORTFOLIO, only actual submission of your proposed design/solution will result in your application being successful. In order to protect yourself, please feel free to watermark all images you send to me, once payment has been made, you can send non watermarked images/logos. With regards to Part 3 a finished example is not needed, give us your quote based on me giving you all images and words to be included, you have to design the rest. It will be helpful to see other catalogues you have designed.
The reason for the stipulation for parts 1 and 2 is that I have had my fingers burnt by paying in advance and then getting clipart submissions back by lazy/bad designers. Examples of your current similar work will be very useful but only a final design submission will win the work.
Attached is our current Logo which needs changes described in Part 1.
Hi,
I am an illustrator and graphic designer from Wales running a small business called Dippy egg.
I love the sound of your project!
I would be more than happy to work on all three parts.
Part one: I can't actually open the attachment so I haven't seen your existing logo. However, I'm sure i would be able to make the necessary alterations and create the logos for part two, which would compliment your existing brand.
Part two: I would create two to three logo options for each of the four lines, and then allow three amends to each until you are happy with the final designs. There would be no problem in creating files which don't distort when enlarged. (they would be vector files which have no real limit for enlargement and would not loose quality in doing so.)
Part three: I am confident I can create a brochure which looks high end, and fitting with all 5 brands to appear in. I have a lot of experience with brochure and book layout so understand the importance of a non cluttered, readable format.
Here are my quotes:
Part one: $100
Part two: $450
Part three: $150
Please find attached samples of some of my previous branding projects on the PMB.
I will create mock ups and post them to you shortly. (However, I cannot access your existing logo, so this is a little difficult. If you could send it to me, that would be great!)
I totally understand your concerns over 'clip art' submissions. I can assure you I have never used clip art in my life and wouldn't consider myself a designer if I did so!
I hope to hear from you,
Many thanks,
Lucy.
