Hello I'm Tim, a native Taiwanese. I'm a graduate student majoring in finance in National Chnug Cheng university in Taiwan graduated in 2017 June. I’m a translator between Chinese and English who specializes in financial market. I'm a native Chinese speaker from Taiwan and fluent in English. In the past few years I had experience and passion translating in writing and on the spot. I have a TOEIC level of 895 out of 990. I’m a passionate investment researcher who has experience researching on U.S. and Taiwan stocks, Taiwan bond market including RP, RS, convertible bonds. From Sep 2017 to June 2018, I worked full time bond department at Oriental Securities in Taiwan as an operation specialist. In the past I had trading experience in Taiwan stocks and index options, CFDs in foreign market. I also passed level I of the Chartered Financial Analyst. I’m a data scientist as well who is familiar with R. I have my thesis whose topic is “Dissecting decaying time value of options with respect to market states of the underlying assets” which is about regression analysis on Taiwan index options and a methodology called Bry Boschan. After I graduated, I had an internship in Jihsun Futures in 2017. In that position as a researcher, I built an option trading model which had a good backtest performance, 46 % average annual geometric return and for the best parameters, the total profit to maximum drawdown ratio is 23.5 times.
