Payroll & Billing Clerk-Remote

SUMMARY OF POSITION: Enter payroll data and prepare customer invoices weekly. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Payroll Data Entry - Review weekly timesheets and enter them into payroll system accurately, efficiently and timely. Compile payroll data such as garnishments, insurance, and other deductions and ensure accurate processing for distribution to correct entities. Weekly Billing - Prepare weekly invoices (generated by program) for delivery to Corporate office for distribution to customers. Extensive computer work, data entry, filing, faxing, and copying, as well as answering phone calls and email will be required. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs. Essential job requirements: Must be focused and able to stay organized in a fast pace data entry environment. Ability to think critically and ask questions when necessary will be vital to the ensure accuracy of payroll data. Must be able to accept and learn from instruction. Must be able to communicate effectively and work well with field office and inter-office personnel. Must be able to work well under pressure; must be able to respect confidential information of others. Presence required for weekly payroll processing;Required education/experience: One or more year’s related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Required skills: Proficiency in Word and Excel. Clear written and verbal communication skills. Good time-management skills. Excellent attention to detail. Interpersonal communication skills necessary. Ability to maintain confidential information. Mental requirements: Must be able to do simple math. Must be able to carry out written and verbal instructions. Must be able to problem solve, organize and prioritize work. Equipment used: Computer, telephone, fax machine, copy machine, adding machine, scanner. Supervisory responsibilities: None Working conditions: Work is conducted indoors in an office environment
