I have a webservice built in C# .net using Visual Studio. The webservice works when on our dev server, but when we moved it to our live server we get the error:
[login to view URL]: Invalid object name '[login to view URL]
This seems to be caused because the schema used on the live database is different than the development database. ie.
[login to view URL] -> [login to view URL]
I need someone to show me how to update this in our project so that when I send the files to our live server we don't get the error.
Can send all project files, etc. that you would need.
I need someone who is available now as this needs to be fixed asap.
Thanks
Hi,
I have 10+ years experience in software design and done many web services in both C# and JAVA before so I think I could help you out.
It sounds a simple as putting in some pre-processor directives so that when you build the dev or release versions the correct schemas are used.
If you would like me to help you out further, please respond via messaging and supply a copy of the source code - or at least the relevant parts - and I will be happy to help.
Kind regards,
Chris

Hello
I can solve your problem do not worry about that, I have had same problem. I can upload your project to my server and fix that, after that I will upload it to your server and I will learn you how to handle some error like that.
Hello,
La solution is actually very simple, there is more than one though. The question would be what`s the best for you, depending on how big is your app or how you abstracted the connection with the db,etc.
Best Regards,
Alvaro Medina
