Hello The first approach I can think that can be used is that we go through the video frame by frame, run OCR on it (or just the specific Mat where subtitles appear) and get the characters. Now as we know the frame rate, so keeping the count of the frame rate can give us time which can be used to make SRT file (and hopefully donate to addic7ed). Also because we have multiple frames with same text we can use that to refine our accuracy. The second approach would be to figure out how that file stores the subtitles in it, which would need us knowing all the video file extensions if you are making this a general software. Also we can use template matching as we know the font and the size of the characters (once found), this should be much less expensive than the OCR method. so, what so you say.
