I need you to create a small cross-platform application (Windows, MacOS, Linux) which will print a label to a user pre-selected printer through calling a URL scheme <a href="batchprint:parameters"></a> handler from a browser.
The app will be placed in the Programs folder (no setup wanted) and when it is opened it will show a list of printers from which the user selects the printer for this application. It will then also associate the URL schema for URL:batchprint in the operating system to this application.
The application will be linked to the URL handler "batchprint" and we will pass a list of set parameters to define what will be printed on the label.
The parameters are "batchprint:batch;<batchNo>;<ItemNo>;<Description>;<Quantity>;<Printed Date>;<Print User>".
Example: "batchprint:batch;F57092C;310026F;D/1N4148/DO35/100 V;60;166.08.2018;Mnuela Khl"
Please see attached image for sample.
Label size: 52x55mm
QR-Barcode on top right is content of Batch (in this example "F57092C").
Field "MPN Check" with checkbox is just hardcoded graphics.
- Application must be callable multiple times or must handle multiple calls (e.g. we print 20 batches at one time causing 10 URL calls)
- No administrative rights required
- Must be tested in Chrome and Firefox with test calling script provided by me
