NYC Eating Disorder Treatment Center seeking freelance writer Primary responsibility: writing engaging content for practice blog and email distributions Seeking a creative and enthusiastic collaborator who can create engaging and original content for our target audiences: potential patients and other professionals/clinicians (referral sources) in the field of eating disorders. Applicant must demonstrate ability to translate research, science, medical and psychotherapeutic content in a way that is suitable for a variety of delivery platforms (blog, direct marketing to professionals, educational materials). Requirements: - Exemplary writing skills - Familiarity with behavioral health, primarily mental health. - Understanding of eating disorders, health, wellness, women’s issues would be ideal. - The capacity to be well-organized in adhering to deadlines. - Bachelor's degree and 2 years writing experience, minimum, required. Hi, When I saw your project I was really excited at the possibility of working on it with you. I've been working as a freelance writer for a few years, however previous to this I was working as a psychological researcher at various London universities. As part of my job as a researcher I have investigated the topic of eating disorders as well as other mental health disorders. I have a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in cognitive and clinical neuroscience and during my time as a freelance writer I have worked with mental health charities and have written academic papers, journal articles and psychological blogs. Hello, I understand this illness first-hand. As a young teenager of 14, I struggled with Anorexia. I am proud to say now at 35 years old, I am 20 years free of this disease. I believe my own experience with the illness could benefit your project greatly as my writing would not only be research based, but experience based.
