EXPERIENCED PARENTING WRITER ONLY
I have a contract to write a book about relationships with people who have untreated high conflict borderline or narcissistic personality disorder. The title is “stop walking on eggshells for partners.” It is third in a series titled “stop walking on egg shells” published by new harbinger publications in Oakland California.
One essential topic is coparenting children age 0-18. I wrote two chapters on this topic (the first on the harm that can be caused by an untreated parent with a high conflict personality disorder and the second on solutions) that ran much, much longer than I will be able to use. These two chapters will need to be whittled down to one chapter, 5000 words.
However, I know my audience well and have been putting together standalone 50-page booklets for them since 1996. This topic is so critical to them ( and to their children and grandchildren) that putting together a booklet with the full info is truly a no brainer.
I will sell it on my website, bpdcentral.com. It will not have an ISBN number Or be sold elsewhere, not as of this writing. I’ve always done physical booklets but I’ll probably do an e-book here.
I am looking for an EXPERIENCED PARENTING WRITER ONLY to help me turn these two chapters into an e-book. I DO NOT mean help me technically. I mean help me instruct parents.
There is a great deal of flexibility in many things; the only hard and fast thing is that qualification. The skills that someone will need is the ability to take the point of view of a parent and understand how to take material that has already been collected and present it to them in a way that they can best understand and use it. I’m not going to try to define it in terms of whether you are a writer or an editor or whatever. I’m going to show people the copy and let them figure that out for themselves.
I could do this myself, but I don’t have the time. I’m also not a parent. The combination of my knowledge of the topic and somebody else’s knowledge of children and writing for parents seems like the best way to please my readers.
